Geometric Film
Geometric shape from louise fielding on Vimeo.
The Second video i have ever created, for this one i created a geometric shape in illustrator and imported it into after effects, i used the animation tools like position, rotation, scale and opacity. I have learnt more techniques and shortcuts while producing this video. I think this video could be better with an audio and a more interesting ending. I think i have defintely imprved from the last video i made but i still have a long way to go.
First Trailer
Silence from louise fielding on Vimeo.
This is the first trailer i created using after efects. We used different photos and solids to create a short 10 second video. we used the timeline to edit the time of when the photos would appear i the video and we used the opactity tool to fade the pictures in and out. as this is the first time i have used after effects the video is not very good but as i learn more and more skills my videos will improve.

Screen printing
These are photos of screen printing a new technique I tried in workshop week. I really enjoyed doing this workshop because it was different and something I had never tried before. It was messy and fun, it was hard to to get the right paint consistency, and the right colours and placement.
Story mood boards
Story Layouts
I created layouts for an article/story to be used for the story I wrote, this was inspired by using the grid system and looking at articles and stories in newspapers and magazines. I used a blue and white grid under the paper I used to draw layouts so that the writing and pictures were aligned.
Art Gallery in Huddersfield Libaray
Photos and thoughts of the cybernetic serendipity art gallery I visited.
a) What different methods of visual communication can you identify within the exhibition? Think about how information is being presented through different channels.
There are lots of different ways each artist uses to communicate within their work. There were line drawings, Video's on old TV's, paintings on canvas, sculptures, collages and photography. All these methods manage to communicate different views and images. Videos show flow of movement and have an effect on viewers time spent watching the video and their thoughts with lots of images compact into one piece of work. Sculptures are 3D and interact with the audience, they show all different angles and different perspectives to people in the audience and also has a different size comparison according to each individual person. Paintings use different types of paint strokes and techniques of painting to show different emotions in the painting and collages use the different layers and textured images to strike out in the audiences with a busy mind set and to really drill an important view in there mind.
b) Which do you think are the most effective or have the most impact on you as a viewer, and why?
For me I get most affected by the sculptures in the art gallery as they were more interesting to look at, there is more to take in and some were hard to work out how they worked as a sculpture.
a) Many of the works in this exhibition are abstract, and some appear more narrative. How might we understand the different types of painting in different ways?
Abstract paintings are more about collages and paintings that do not follow traditional paintings of such accuracy of objects or people, they create a more vivid and vibrant look to the image, it doesn't use the actual colours of the objects the painting is showing it uses any colour. The more narrative paintings are the ones where you can see a clear image or portrait of someone and objects and they use the proper colours for each object and try to imitate real life with paint and drawings. this imitation shows us exactly how it was in real life when it was painted.
Hand Drawn Typography
Typography Exploration: Hand Drawn
I used shapes from other peoples work to create my own 3 different types of typography. This is the letters of ANGES but I have started to do the full alphabet too.
